Professional Development Workshop – “Classroom Management” As part of the school’s continued commitment towards professional development of teachers and strengthening the teaching-learning process, a professional development workshop on “Classroom Management” was conducted on 19 September 2026. The workshop was specially organised for the Middle Wing Teachers of Grades VI to VIII, with a focus on understanding adolescent learners, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Facilitator: Mr. Sandip Ghosh, Headmaster Key Objectives The workshop focused on equipping teachers with practical strategies related to: Effective classroom discipline and management Enhancing student engagement and active participation Understanding and managing adolescent behaviour Building positive teacher–student relationships Creating a positive, safe and conducive learning environment The session went beyond theoretical concepts and focused on practical and classroom-oriented strategies. Teachers were encouraged to understand that effective classroom management is not merely about maintaining discipline, but also about understanding students, building positive relationships, encouraging participation and creating an environment conducive to learning. The workshop encouraged teachers to adopt the “Learn – Reflect – Grow” approach in their professional practice. It provided valuable insights into making classrooms more disciplined, engaging, positive and learner-centred. The session also reinforced the importance of effective classroom management in improving student participation, strengthening teacher–student relationships and supporting better learning outcomes.
